We are entering the last three weeks left here in Battambang, Cambodia. The team is doing well and all have built such amazing relationships with their students and co-teachers. It has been a joy to watch them step out in faith with their students and share the love of Jesus!
Personally, some highlights have been going every Thursday to a village. All the kids from the village come for songs, games and a bible story led by two team members and myself. Each session has given us the opportunity to pray for the kids, asking the Lord to heal them from sickness or injury. It has been so wonderful to see their faces light up when we ask if we can pray for them. Seeing them sing about Jesus brings so much joy. God is moving in powerful ways in these villages. The kids are changing the spiritual atmosphere here. Sadness and shame is being transformed to joy and confidence in Him! Praise be to our God, who loves and cares for all His children. Continue to pray that they may walk in freedom as children of God.
I’ve been able to coach many CrossFit classes at the base which has given me the opportunity to use my gifts. I have been challenged out of my comfort zone and learned so much about myself and letting God use me. Teaching has been a great way to build friendships with the Battambang long-term staff. This past week I have been asking myself what should be at the root of my ministry. Before Jesus’ ministry, he pursued a relationship and learned the love of Abba father. This gives me an example of how I should pursue learning and strengthen my relationship with Him as well. This has taught me that Abba Father knows me, Abba Father loves me, and Abba Father is for me! And HE is for YOU too! This has blown me away to just reside in the love of our Father!
