“Make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”  2 Peter 1:10-11

I came across this verse the other day and was struck by the realization that the Lord calls us to go  after our dreams. He gave us the mind to dream and  He sparks a burning passion in our hearts to pursue them.

It is a call to become who He has created us to be.

I felt the Lord speak to me so clearly as I was thinking of these things

saying “Mikaela let me carry your burdens, Mikaela my yoke is easy and my

burden is light“.

This last month has been incredible. Part of my family was able to come and visit me. I was so blessed by the time with them.

They got to see a little into my day to day life here at the University of the Nations. We also got to go on some fun Island adventures together 🙂

New steps in my ministry have opened about two weeks ago when I was invited to become a staff member for  the April DTS (Disciple Training School) which includes leading an outreach team for about two and a half months.

I said yes to this amazing invitation! Coming together with the staff team has been so great we are getting excited for the students to come in April. (I plan to post a blog as soon as I have more details about my new adventure, also DM me if you have specific questions about what a DTS is)

This process has challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and learn how to coach and demonstrate movements to others. It is so good though… I can say now, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I am learning the joy of sticking to it and fighting in the hardest positions. When we choose to press on that’s when the Lord brings freedom in the sweetest surrender.

I would like to encourage you to anticipate your invitations from the Lord and not to hesitate to grab hold of them and say “yes!”. He is asking you to come join him on the journey of life.

The decision to say YES or NO is all yours.

In my case the Lord gave me a picture of a wrapped up personnel invitation letter asking me to trust and enter into greater intimacy with Him..

I said yes!!!
